My Oma is a curatorial project focusing on the figure of the grandmother for several artists, organized by Kunstinstituut Melly. For this group show Charlie Koolhaas presented her Harriet Freezerstraat project investigating the legacy of her largely forgotten feminist theorist and activist grandmother, Harriet Freezer. The exhibit features photographs and accounts of visits to every street named after Charlie’s grandmother and the relation of the residents there to the radical feminism developed in the postwar Netherlands.
