Marking the launch of Charlie Koolhaas’s Metabolism Trip book, this exhibition featured photographs from Charlie’s journey through the remaining buildings of the avant-garde Metabolist Movement that had emerged during the postwar period in Japan. Within the installation, designed by Shohei Shigematsu, architectural prints with mirrored backings were suspended through the interior of the Koko Gallery in Tokyo, such that all surfaces reflected metabolist architecture and the visitor became immersed in the movement.
