50U is a book designed by Dutch graphic designer Irma Boom, and was published to celebrate the 50th year anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, is a collection of 50 portraits of people, plants and places, painting an intimate picture of life in the Emirates, with the memories and expectations of its inhabitants, punctuated by a photo essay by Charlie Koolhaas.
